24-Year-Old Killed In Two-Vehicle Wyandanch Crash

It happened just after 11 a.m. Monday, March 21 in Wyandanch.

Matthew J. Grinvalsky, age 24, of Lindenhurst, was riding a 1985 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Long Island Avenue when he collided with a 2006 Ford pickup truck being driven by a 52-year-old Wyandanch woman, who was attempting to make a left turn from Lake Drive to westbound Long Island Avenue, Suffolk County Police said.

Grinvalsky was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, said police. The woman driving the pickup truck was not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
